SUPPORT US
Did you know that the Herne Hill Velodrome is a charity, set up to operate the historic venue and to promote active lifestyles and increased participation in cycling? Our site has been operating for more than 130 years and with your support we can keep the pedals turning for future generations.
Herne Hill Velodrome does not receive any funding from the Government and as such we rely on income from our users, their friends and families and our sponsors not just to keep the lights on but to help us continue to make cycling an accessible sport for as wide a community of users as possible. Many of our activities do not make money but they are important to our goal to make cycling available to everyone irrespective of age, ability or background. We couldn’t do this without you and the support you give us.
There are many ways to help Herne Hill Velodrome. You can ride at the track or you can come down and support those that do, and on this page you can also make an online donation. You can also help in other ways, by joining the Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome, by leaving a legacy in your will or by getting your employer to hold an event at the track or sponsor us in another way.

FRIENDS OF HERNE HILL VELODROME
The Friends of Herne Hill Velodrome (FHHV) is an inclusive club and welcomes people of all ages and ability. We are based at the historic, outdoor velodrome in Herne Hill. Our primary purpose is to support the Herne Hill Velodrome through raising and providing funds, organising social events and volunteering. We currently have over 400 members and counting.
As you would expect the focus is track cycling but there is also is also plenty of participation on and off road. In the coming months we plan to introduce group rides. We have a thriving social scene with plenty of opportunities to meet and hang out at Jan’s Café in the Herne Hill Velodrome Pavilion after sessions (link to HHV website and sessions pathway) and at other events throughout the year. Everyone is welcome.

LEAVE A LEGACY
Leaving a legacy will help to support the work we do at Herne Hill Velodrome, bringing the benefits of cycling to a broad community of users, while also helping to protect the future of the historic facility for the benefit of future generations. No matter the size of a gift your support will make a difference.
Your legacy can specify an amount of money or a percentage of your estate, and it can reflect any particular interests you have by being directed to specific areas of our work, such as youth cycling, accessible cycling or community programmes. The Herne Hill Velodrome has full charitable status (Charity Number: 1140128), so leaving a legacy is also a tax-efficient way of supporting cycling, reducing the inheritance tax burden on your family.
If you are considering leaving a gift in your will to the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust and would like further information,
